A friendly get together for anyone interested in meeting up regularly with other creatives and culture lovers in Paignton.

In Autumn 2024 Wide Open Paigton arranged a series of Artist Gatherings where local creatives got together to network and enjoy each other’s company. This gathering is to think about ways for this to keep happening - where would be fun to meet? What could be great to do together? What would you like to see?

People have said they found it useful for sparking creative connections, to feel less isolated or to keep making brilliant things happen in Paignton. Whatever the reason, everyone is welcome whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience. Perhaps you're a filmmaker, musician, writer, visual artist, performer, or involved in any creative field, or maybe you just enjoy all of these things and would like to see more of it happening in town.

The doors are open, there will be refreshments. Everyone is welcome whether you prefer to be quiet and listen or to talk.

The Projection Room is a new cultural space on Torbay Road made possible by Paignton Picture House Trust - a space to find out more about the restoration of the magnificent Paignton Picture House, their fundraising appeal, creative and cultural activities and more. This welcoming space is wheelchair accessible, with toilet facilities on site.
