Join us for the launch of People Make Paignton: Film and Photography Exhibition.
We’re thrilled to invite you to the launch event for People Make Paignton, a powerful new documentary series and photography exhibition that shines a spotlight on some of the local people who make our town truly special.
This event marks the beginning of a two week exhibition (15th - 29th March) featuring a continuous screening of these intimate filmed conversations by filmmaker and social entrepreneur Jordan Pierson, alongside stunning portraits of the interviewees by local photographer Emily Appleton. Expect an evening of inspiring stories and a true celebration of Paignton’s everyday creative spirit.
About People Make Paignton
Created in collaboration with Wide Open, People Make Paignton is a heartfelt documentary series featuring conversations with some of the artists, community workers, entrepreneurs, and everyday creatives who shape our town. Through these films, we dive into the lives, dreams, and passions of the people who embody Paignton’s resilience, creativity and unique charm.
This project is more than just a series of films and images - it is a celebration of our community. A chance to hear the voices and stories that often go unheard, to celebrate the individuals who make our town vibrant, and to connect through shared experiences.
Come and be part of the story…Join us on the 14th March to experience these films, meet the creative minds behind the project, and connect with fellow community members. Stay for a drink, share your thoughts, and celebrate the incredible people who make Paignton what it is.
