We are thrilled to present People Make Paignton: Film & Photography Exhibition, a two-week showcase celebrating the ‘everyday creativity’, resilience, and spirit of Paignton’s local community.
This exhibition runs from 15th - 29th March, featuring a continuous screening of People Make Paignton, a documentary series of intimate filmed conversations by filmmaker and social entrepreneur Jordan Pierson, alongside stunning portraits of the interviewees by local photographer Emily Appleton.
These works highlight some of the faces and stories of those who live and work in Paignton, offering a unique glimpse into the heart of the town. We hope you can join us at the Projection Room on Torbay Road to enjoy this fabulous exhibition.
About People Make Paignton
Created by Jordan Pierson in collaboration with Wide Open, People Make Paignton is primarily a heartfelt documentary series featuring conversations with artists, community workers, entrepreneurs, and local visionaries who shape our town. Through these films and portraits, we explore the lives, dreams, and passions of the people who embody Paignton’s identity and creative spirit.
This project is more than just a collection of films and images – it is a tribute to the individuals who make our town vibrant. A space to listen to voices that often go unheard, to acknowledge the creativity that fuels our community, and to come together in shared appreciation of the town we call home.
