Join illustrator Cecily Salt on a sketch & scribble workshop capturing Paignton moments. This workshop is suitable for all ages. All materials will be provided, but if you have particular materials you like to use for sketching or illustration, feel free to bring them along.

Cecily Salt is an illustrator from Paignton, now living close-by on Dartmoor. An avid sketchbook keeper, Cecily began her creative career in animation, making short films for Channel 4 alongside working on adverts and in Children’s television. She completed an MA in Animation at Royal College of Art and received a BAFTA nomination for her short film Wedding Expression 2003. In 2019, Cecily opened Salty’s Studio, a shop and workspace with partner Jim Salter, selling their own wall art, cards and gifts. You can find out more about Cecily’s work here.

On 23rd August, Cecily will be out and about in Paignton illustrating ordinary Paignton moments. She'll gather, sketch and photograph some of the sights she sees to create some new postcards of summer season in Paignton. Look out for the postcards which will be on sale at The Projection Room from Sunday 25th August and beyond.
