Join Zo for a standalone creative writing workshop on the theme of pride, specifically for those who identify as LGBTQIA+. Zo will guide you through a series of prompts and exercises as a starting point. We will explore our queer identities and histories, and how these are shaped by being in the local area.
Who is it for? Anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+ and has an interest in writing.
What can I expect? A safe, encouraging space where you will be guided to write using prompts. Opportunities for sharing, but no pressure to. Expect to surprise yourself!
What is the space like? An open-plan space, on Torbay Road, with lots of natural light. The building is wheelchair accessible, with individual toilet cubicles.
What shall I bring? You are welcome to bring a note book and pencil - or other such writing tools you want to use - you are welcome to bring a tablet or laptop if that's your preferred way to write, but some of the activities will be paper-based. Everything you need will be provided, so the only thing you really need to bring is you!
